Lemtrada (also known as alemtuzumab or campath) is a disease modifying treatment (DMT) for highly active relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. Lemtrada is given as an intravenous infusion (drip), often in two treatment courses, twelve months apart. Clinical trials have shown that Lemtrada reduces relapses by around 50% compared to a placebo.Ask the community your questions about Lemtrada or read about other people's Lemtrada MS experiences.

Life after Lemtrada

I started Lemtrada June of 2018, completed May of 2019. It wasn’t an easy treatment. Ms for me began in 1995 (17 years old). Around 29 years of interferons…betaseron and then avonex. Then I stopped dmt’s and tried just diet…..bad idea.🤦🏼‍♂️. With my ms progressing and shouldering from RRMS to ...

Lemtrada

Hi all. I'm thinking about asking my neurologist about doing this treatment. Has anyone done it and if so has it been successful?

Ocrevus -> Lemtrada

Hello :) I’m wondering if I can get some feedback on those who have had Lemtrada? Unfortunately Ocrevus isn’t working in the desired way and more lesions have been noted. I have been offered Lemtrada but having some anxiety surrounding it. Please can I hear your feedback? The good and the bad! Th...

Lemtrada

Hello, i am currently having my 1st round of alemtuzumab. I’m feeling rough on day 4 but not sure how to describe it. When people say they feel like they’ve been hit by a bus, do they mean pain?? And how is the datigue? Inability to get up or feeling no energy to do things?

Lemtrada: how to mentally prepare

Hi everyone. I am so glad this app exists and grateful for all of you who take the time to write. I have to decide between the 4 high efficacy treatments very soon and I'm leaning towards lemtrada. I am however a bit scared of the unknown, how am I going to react to the infusions, isolating the 1 m...

Switching from Tysabri to either Lemtrada or Cladribine

I’ve been on Tysabri for the last year and found out I was highly JC virus positive in January. I’ve been advised to switch to another high efficacy DMT in the next year. The top choices I’ve been recommended are Lemtrada and Cladribine. I’d like to know from anyone who has had to make a similar cho...
