Tecfidera and immune reaction

Hi, does anyone know about risks of getting infections with Tecfidera? I've been wondering about this since I read that immune reactions differ and MS patients often suffer from "silent" infections when taking immune suppression medication. As I understood Tecfidera works as a modulator but I'm not ...

My first flush with Tecfidera

I started my treatment just over a week ago. The half dose went fine but I'm now up to the full dose and had my first flush this afternoon. It was fine until the chronic itch kicked in. I am trying to have high protein meals but any other tips that anyone has stumbled upon?

Tecfidera

I’ve been on dimethyl fumarate for nearly 3 weeks and have had stomach pains/sickness for about 5 days now, I’m just wondering how long I’m going to be getting these side effects for as it’s slowly beginning to drain me. I’ve spoken to my ms team but they’ve only said to keep and eye on it🤦🏼‍♀️

Tecfidera and increased heart rate

Hi all, I started Tecfidera several weeks ago I am now on full dose. Since a couple of days my heart rate is really high. Went to the GP and he gave me some beta blockers to decrease the heart rate , my GP suspects that the stress is the cause. Is there anyone who experienced this with Tecfidera?

Ocrevus/Kesimpta vs Tecfidera?

Hey there! I was diagnosed with RRMS in July of 2022 and will be starting treatment soon. My neuro suggested either Ocrevus or Kesimpta and I went for Ocrevus. After I had chosen (and all the documentation went through insurance, etc), I got a call from the neuro telling me she reviewed my medic...

Is hair loss a side effect of Tecfidera?

Hey guys! I have started Tecfidera for a week now, which has been all good so far. As I am starting my 240 dose now, I was reading the leaflet and saw that hair loss was a potential side effect. It really scared me because my hair is a big part of my identity, and my doctor never mentioned that as a...

Tecfidera and headaches

I'm on day 17 of half-dose Tecfidera (after quitting a unhappy relationship with Plegridy). Half an hour after the evening dose, I get a sharp, intense headache on one side of my head. This subsides to a low-level constant headache for the next 12-24 hours. I don't get beetroot-face or GI effects...
