Tecfidera and constant respiratory infection

Good morning, Anyone on tec find they had a constant cough/wheeze/bubble in their chest? I think this is the 3rd time since the start of March and with only a few weeks of having no symptoms. I was never really ill before tec and was aware of the risk of immunosuppression but this is taking the p*ss 🤣 I'm a teacher but did do a bit of research of people taking tec and working in schools and hospitals before deciding on the medication. My Dr won't actually see me to listen to my chest but have had bloods and swabs taken and it's not a bacterial infection, apparently a series of viruses but surely not all this close together Any experience or advice greatly appreciated!

Hello! I have never thought about any coughs or as a side effect. I do have intermittent coughing and swallowing troubles. I'm sure mine in not bacterial and I have seen a speech & language professional and she said there wasn't anything significant 🙄 I have taken Tecfidera since 2015 without any other side effects. Good Luck!

The one thing I had which was weird when I was on Tecfidera, was when I would lower my head/ turn it slightly (like you were bent down and looking in the fridge for something) I would often get this rush of gunk, down my left nostril! The only thing I can explain the substance to or as I may imagine it might be like is a brain hameorage! It wasn't pleasant and it was a side effect of the Tec' as now I'm on Kesimpta, it doesn't happen. In reflection, Tecfidera overall was like my Kryptonite. I never knew it, until I came off it. Others do tolerate it well though and it works well for some.
