Career fears

A year post-diagnosis, I think I'm struggling wth the process of accepting change in my career. I'm feeling a combination of loss about my lack of achievement up to now, and grief that MS has narrowed the window of opportunity to find more success in the future. I was a gifted young person, first i...

Fatigue and Depression intersecting

These days have been up and down a lot. The weather has far more influence on me than it used to (it's hopefully about to stop raining). I am currently on anti-depressants for depression and anxiety since January. I often feel fatigue, but exercise regularly to try to combat this. I have not been...

Tysabri vs Ocrevus ?

Hi ☺️ currently I am on Tysabri, have been for 9 months since diagnosis with so far very positive results (no relapses, symptoms, JC negative, etc), however my biggest pain point is the monthly infusions. Having discussed this with my neurologist he has suggested that I could choose to switch to Ocr...

Tested positive for JVC

Hi everyone! I tested positive for JVC, currently on tysabri. I'm absolutely gutted as was feeling really positive that this would be a great treatment for me. Wanted some advice on what alternative DMTs people would recommend please? Many thanks 😘

Ethical Dilemmas in Counselling, particularly when it comes to MS

Ethics was not my favourite course during my counselling program, but it is the one which taught me the most. I learned that if a seriously ill, depressed client tells me he or she is considering committing suicide, I have to work around my tendency to be overwhelmingly supportive and empathetic. Fe...

Black and White or Gray?

As a counsellor I have learned that there are no “black and white” answers to situations and that we have to learn to embrace “gray” answers, much as we do in other areas of our lives. By this I mean that there will often be no right or wrong answers to questions we may get from our clients and we n...

Inflammation Diet

I've recently started to drastically reduce the amount of gluten and dairy in my diet, I'm trying to reduce sugar and processed foods aswell. I'm interested in the Dr Wahls diet but it seems far too restrictive for me. Is anyone here on any kind of specialised diet for their MS and noticed a positiv...
