Shingles and Tecfidera

So I had a rash on my side on Monday and didn’t think anything of it as I have been feeling fine. But I have been to the GP and they have told me it is 100% shingles! Has anyone else ever had shingles whilst on Tec and if so, did you continue taking your treatment? I phone my MS nurse but she is on holiday. Any help would be great thanks!

Hi! I contracted Shingles 3 weeks ago and was going to start my tecfidera treatment. I emailed the ms team and a consultant told me to wait. I know this is case dependant, but maybe you can mention it to your ms team. Hope this helps and that your symptoms are less severe now.
