Career , Academia , give up? Or persevere

Hi warriors! Hope you’ve all been well. This year I started a new job a big consulting firm and I also got accepted into the masters program at my university with goals of eventually getting my PhD. However, I was diagnosed in May and not sure if I should change my plan or not. Does anyone want to...

Injections

Hello Chris, I do feel for you. My first injection was a nightmare I couldn't sleep, felt exhausted and fatigue played a major part of it. Began to wonder what the hell I was getting myself into. Persevere with it. It will get easier.

Injection Site Reactions

I've just finished my first box of Brabio. Localised reactions have gotten increasingly worse. Nurse asked me to persevere for another couple of weeks, taking antihistamines etc and if no improvement we will reevaluate my treatment. However the main reason I am on this is because I am breastfeeding....

Disabled Railcards - the saga continues

As many of you know - search it all using the magnifying glass on the top right - about 3 years ago I got very worked up at the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) which manages the Disabled Persons Railcards. They make it appear on the website that you need to hit certain thresholds of disability to get the...

Duloxetine

Does anyone have any experience of this drug for nerve pain and anxiety/depression ? I've recently been prescribed 30mg of this instead of Amitriptyline 20mg and Citalopram 20mg. The Amitriptyline wasn't helping my fatigue or touching the pain. Unfortunately I'm not getting along well with Duloxe...

Felling of falling to the left side

Hi I have been experiencing a feeling of falling to the left side when I sit down for the last two days. I’m ok when standing although standing and walking is very difficult at the best of times. I have started gabapentin a few days ago and wondered if this is coincidence or a side effect I should p...

Not MS related...

I was diagnosed with RRMS back in June and have struggled to stay motivated with my studies (Ph.D). The timing of it all was awful! I was thankful to submit my final thesis yesterday! Along with all the emotional moments, hand tremor (making typing harder than ever! Word loved all the typos) I still...

Decisions, decisions... (I'm in a pickle!)

Hello fellow MSers, just wanted to crowdsource some advice if I may… I was diagnosed very quickly in Aug 2020 (as a hospital inpatient) and I started treatment in Nov (copaxone). I was offered cladribine from the off, but I discounted it because I was worried about having a compromised immune syste...
