Hello Again

Life swallows you up and you forget you're seriously ill until you have another relapse. I have to laugh otherwise I'll cry. Luckily, it's nowhere near as severe as my last just incredibly uncomfortable and is making work and study difficult. I'm also going to be starting my DMDs soon, I'm going to ...

Starting my IOP journey tomorrow.

Hey everyone. Sometimes, in our new MS world we bend a lot. And sometimes, when things bend too much, they break. That was me a couple of weeks ago. I called my boss, barely keeping it together saying, I need to take FMLA (I’m in the US, Family, Medical Leave) I have started being at home. Slowly wo...

First Ocrevus infusion in 2 days, quick reality check?

Hey everyone, I’m finally starting Ocrevus in a couple of days and I’m a bit nervous about the timing. For those of you on it, how did the first dose hit you? Impact of Stress

Hello. I read all the time that stress has a huge impact on MS and it's progression. Does anyone have a stressful job? Or even just a stressful life. I'm completely confused as how to avoid stress, if I have a 5 year old, work, maintain family life, friends and just live. And when I say live... Just...

Has anyone ever lost their employment due MS?

After giving a company 16 years of my life, they couldn't be patient for 'Access to Work' to start and sacked me instead. What could I do in response?

Balancing Work, Life, and MS

Hi everyone, I’m Frank. I’m 60, have lived with MS for more than 25 years, and spent decades working in corporate leadership roles while navigating the realities that many of you know all too well: fatigue, disclosure decisions, career pressure, accommodations, MRIs, treatments, anxiety about the fu...

Meltdown over a coffee mug

I know it sounds so trivial but I just knocked over my favourite coffee mug at work. I’d been using it every day for almost 25 years and had a complete meltdown over it. Does anyone else get angry/frustrated at MS and how it can cause chaos over the simplest things in life.

Daily routine?

Do you have a daily routine? What does it look like or what elements do you try and incorporate? I do a few exercises, quick sink wash, breakfast, rest, get ready, rest and snack, drive to work, lunch, take breaks if possible, dinner, drive home, rest, eat again, rest, maybe some TV, night routine,...
