Yoga

Question. I’ve had 2 yoga sessions; I find it boring and quite difficult to focus. I am into my sports, although can’t do the sports I did before. Maybe it’s the teacher, as I do find her quite strange. But she’s dealt with people with MS and did say I did well to not fall. Am I being impat...

Accessing group and yoga support locally issues

So I thought I'd be proactive and find out which groups are running locally. There are two nearest to me (5 and 9 miles respectively) but I've been told by the organisers (funded by MS Society) that I cannot attend these and have to travel 30 plus miles since my care is not based at their local hosp...

Thoughts on pilates / yoga ??

Hi All, hope you are having a better day today. I'm seeing a Physio at work recommended by Occupational Health. Whilst I'm very appreciative of this opportunity as its in work time, and is work funded, I can't make my mind up if this is helping me. I wondered if others do light pilates or yoga exe...

Yoga and MS- finally the video by Seb

Not sure how many others follow "Life of Seb" on You Tube but he is great and has a lot of good videos posted of his journey with MS. He had promised a session for us on Yoga (that is his specialty!) and here it is- I haven't done it yet but plan to today. I watched the intro from bed and it looks s...

Yoga anyone? 🧘🏻‍♀️ And a bit of good news...

Hi folks 👋🏻 So I’ve been loving my Yoga recently - I only started a few weeks ago but I’ve found that it really helps to strengthen my legs and improve my balance. Anyone else find that Yoga helps? If so, it’d be great to know what poses you find help specific symptoms! And how often you practice ...

Exercise Pilates - Yoga

Hi wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. I am currently looking into starting a new exercise of either Pilates or Yoga. Any ideas where I can find a class in my local area and which one of these exercises would be best to help improve my balance?

Yoga classes/resources

Hi all! Before MS I dipped in and out of yoga and really enjoyed it, but cost of classes always made it difficult to commit to on an ongoing basis. I've suffered from back pain/stiffness for a number of years now (in hindsight possibly due to the MS?!) - painkillers aren't fixing it, private physio...

MS & Yoga

Howdy folks, I'm just starting to do yoga, mainly for my general health but also to hopefully help against MS. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge on this, particularly any certain styles? (apparently Pranayama focuses on the nervous system), Thanks

Yoga-tastic :)

Yoga is one of the activities that I’ve found to be really beneficial, initially I went to try and improve my balance but I found it helped me beat stress and improving my feeling of well being. If you’re worried about stability or not being bendy enough look for a class in the iyengar style, wh...

Fresh Start

As someone who’s lived a pretty sedentary life for the last decade - sitting at my desk and working 8+ hours a day and then watching TV at night, eating quick, processed food and grabbing fast calorie laden snacks to keep me going. Drinking far too much coffee and no water. I always thought that wh...

New in Town

Hello! I’m Dani and I’m new here. Not new to MS. That bish showed up around 2016, with an official diagnosis in 2019. I’m a mom, wife, animal mom, theatre professional, and, as of yesterday, a published playwright! MS has given me a run for my money, but I’ve given one right back… because hell no...

Ocrevus, ocrelizumab

Hi all, I have had relapsing remitting ms for five years now. Does anyone here find the Ocrevus treatment to improve symptoms? Or Tysabri a more suitable DMT?
