Neuropathic pain advice please

I'm looking for advice regarding neuropathic pain and various drug options. The pain in my legs is driving me crazy but I am loathe to take drugs with a myriad of side effects. Are there any reasonable options or is it trial and error?

Neuropathic pain

Hi everyone, I've been on pregabalin for a couple of months now, and it hasn't really helped the constant pain in my legs, but they kept raising the dose on me. I got to 150mg twice a day, and felt like it was sort of dulling the pain some, but it came with some pretty bad side effects and left me ...

Neuropathic pain - letting off steam!

Ooh I’m getting very grumpy with my right foot 😤 a relapse between diagnosis and starting DMD is a little bit tiresome as is trying to find ways to explain what it feels like to MS team and family. So it’s been around 3 weeks. It feels like someone is constantly twisting my foot, as if I’ve been we...

Neuropathic pain

Who here suffers from it? Personally, i's driving me wild. I have it in my hands and feet and legs. I feel lost in trying to deal with it. Nothing abates the suffering, as I can't have Amytriptiline because it would mess up my treatment for depression. The pain is preferable to the feeling of depr...

Bad Neuropathic Pain

Hi Guys, Looking for some advice here. I've had RRMS for about ten years, though not diagnosed until 2009. To cut a long story short, seven relapses in three years on no DMD, none in the four years since on copaxone. Result! But…you knew there'd be one….my predominant issues are sensory: continuou...

Can neuropathic pain ever end?

Hi all, Looking for a bit of hope I guess but all signs point to bad news. Has anyone ever had any luck with neuropathic pain going away after a LONG period of time ie 8 months or longer? I have one large lesion in my thoracic area (as well as brain lesions) for personal reasons I hid my symptoms fo...

Work stress causing neuropathic pain

Hi guys, Just venting a bit and need some advice about what I should do about work. I'm the head of a department at a company I love but about 3 months ago due to a load of staff leaving at the same time it's been a really stressful time. Pretty much instantly I started getting pains in my right...

Neuropathic Pain?

For the last few days, I've had a wierd sharp pain in my ankle every now and then. It's short and sharp. I now have a very similar pain in my groin area (think that's the name- the bit where my leg joins my torso!). It's VERY sharp, and lasts for a few seconds. It seems to manage to travel throug...
