Pseudo-relapse: Duration, and how to get over it

My neuro says I’m having a pseudo-relapse (no new lesions/inflammation on my MRI, experiencing old symptoms). It has been going on for over a month. Two questions: I keep reading that a pseudo-relapse usually resolves in 24 hours. Is it uncommon to have it go on for so long? Is it still called a ps...

Pseudo-relapse

Hi all, had a bit of a scary experience on Tuesday. Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t walk, fell over when I got up and couldn’t move my legs. I’ve been suffering from the flu and am under a lot of stress, an MS nurse told me it was most probably a pseudo-relapse. But this has totally ...

Ocrelizumab and ‘pseudo’ relapse

Evening All! I’ve developed an old symptom since my first half dose. My MS nurse says they’ve had reports of old symptoms popping up after infusions and not to worry unless it persists. They’re calling it a ‘pseudo’ relapse. Anyone else experienced this? X

Pseudo-relapse?

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone here has experienced a pretty bad pseudo-relapse and how do you know it's that? I had 2 very bad relapses in the space of 4 months in 2016 (the second one happened 3 weeks after starting Gilenya). I had just started to regain more mobility before Christmas and finall...

I was diagnosed less than a year ago and I did my first round of Mavenclad in June/July and I have been making progress, was able to start exercise consecutively over the past couple months, eating and carrying on with what might have appeared normal-ish. The fatigue and headaches were gone. I had a brief episode of numbness to my left arm lasted for couple days then went away. But since the past 2/3 days I have noticed the numbness came back to the right arm and now my left eye feels off, kinda heavy, sensitive to light and just feels weird. My next neuro apt is in 3 weeks, should I wait it out...is this what it feels like to have a relapse or pseudo relapse...I dont know, Id I should go crazy or is this a part of the disease process.

Relapse or pseudo relapse?

The one thing I struggle with the most is knowing what is a flare up and what is a real relapse. I started feeling a numbness in my leg over a week ago but I’ve had this before so didn’t think much of it. I then started to get numbness in my left hand up my arm and my shoulder is so sensitive to t...

Hospitalised with psuedo-relapse

I've been in hospital for 4 days now following two weeks of gradual escalation of symptoms. I ended up completely losing power in both legs, unable to walk a few meters with an aid, double vision and fatigue. An emergency MRI showed no new activity and it's still clinical stable which I'm really h...
