Gilenya (fingolimod) is a disease modifying treatment (DMT) for active relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. It is prescribed as a daily pill and clinical trials have shown it can reduce relapses by around 50% compared to a placebo. Questions

I have had MS for over 28 years and I have been on Betaseron, Copaxone, Avonex, Steroid IV Infusions and I am now on Gilenya. I have a Baclofen pump and a port. If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me. I am all ears and open to helping others cope with their diagnosis of MS.

JC Positive and Tecfidera

My neuro wants to start me on Tec as I’ve not done well with other DMT’s and he wants me on something. I’m also JC virus positive, bringing the risk of PML into the picture. Plasmapheresis???

Hello all, Has anyone tried plasmapheresis? I do not tolerate steroids well and this was the other option provided to me to treat my flare/relapse (optic neuritis now in my other eye). Trying to make a decision so all experiences are welcome. Thank you!

Covid booster

Hi. I’m wondering if the guidance has changed around fingolimod/RRMS and Covid risk? I’ve not been invited for a spring booster and when I looked on the vaccine info site MS is no longer listed as a condition that is considered ‘vulnerable’. Has anyone else previously been invited for all boosters ...
