Hi all, I'm taking kesimpta, does this mean I'm immunosuppressed or immunocompromised. Also, If I've had my childhood measles vaccine will I still have immunity?

Immunosuppressed and fighting colds - any tips

Hello fellow MSers, does anybody have any tips on fighting colds while we take certain DMTs which lower our immune system? I had Omicron about 4 months ago and thankfully recovered, but since then I have started Kesimpta and have just finished my first month of injections. For the last 3 weeks I ha...

Immunosuppressed Risks

I recently had my first dose of Ocrevus and I'm doubting my decision for medication. I'm concerned about the increased risks of hospitalisations, infection and overall poor health. For those who have been on Ocrevus for a long time, have you noticed an increase in poor health or infections leading t...

Immunosuppressed advice.

So I guess with Ocrevus I'm immunosuppressed now. I'm not really getting a solid answer from any medical professionals in how seriously I need to be with this. Wash my hands and wear a mask? Stay away from snotty kids? Become a hermit? Any advice is good advice. Would also take silly answers to wi...

about that really long cold…

Regarding to my last post I went to the A&E to get checked out and guess what? It turned out I had Covid 19+ pneumonia and a lower respiratory tract infection😭I genuinely forget I’m immunospurssed sometimes because that combination truly made me laugh out of shock. No wonder I felt so sick AND ou...

RSV Vaccine

Apparently for pregnant women and older adults only. I'm not an expert, though I wonder why immunosuppressed people are not included like they are for Covid and Flu. Does anyone know? https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/rsv-vaccine/

Doctor "Let Down"

I went to my PCP today and asked some questions (about my skin, oddly enough) that only amounted to the answer that it's probably because of being immunosuppressed, and that because I'm immunosuppressed, it isn't likely to resolve. Just feeling a little down today. Anyone ever have those moments b...

MS awareness week starts today!

Today is the start of MS awareness week, my first one. I thought I'd share with you guys my awareness post I shared on Facebook; my first MS coming out post in a sense. as a disclamer (i wrote one on my post at the end) I had to over simplify some aspects so I didn't bore the life out of people, so...
