Vaccine Alternatives for Gilenya

Hi everyone, this is my first post here on Shift. It's good to be here! I'm posting because my wife has MS and she takes Gilenya daily as part of her treatment plan. As many of you may know, data shows that Gilenya doesn't allow the COVID vaccines to produce antibodies. We're trying to find ways to...

Pharmaceutical companies/foundations

Hello, everyone. Due to complications, I am forced to take monoclonal antibodies. I am still to take Aquaporin 4 to see if I'm supposed to be on Nataluzimab or Rituximab. However, both medicines have to come from abroad as I live in the Philippines and is not covered by insurance. Can anyone please ...

Does Risk Management Matter Anymore?

An article I published on LinkedIn the other day: Or... Why Aren't MS Patients Worth It? Recently, I was sent a genetic test that won much acclaim at ECTRIMS 2023. The test is simple, fast, and unequivocal. Why is it important? As one of the 2.5 million plus Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients in th...

Newly Diagnosed - well worth a read

Several of us here have been exposed to the technical, dare I say nerdy, language. Don't sweat it if it is gibberish. Start with the intro and conclusion. If you want to know anything specific about terms/abbreviations used then drop a question at the bottom. This is an interesting peer review - a...

Sotrovimab

So Sotrovimab which is the drug that the NHS is throwing at vulnerable COVID patients is a monoclonal antibody. AFAIK that's what Ocrevus/Ocrelizumab is (that I'm on), does that kill off it's usefulness? Could it cause problems?

Covid and MS

Hi, Just wanted to see if anyone else was able to get the monoclonal antibody infusion while they had CoVid. I tested positive at home but went into the clinic because I would be “flagged” as a potential candidate for the infusion. The offered it to me and it made a huge difference. I was struggl...

Evusheld please ask your neurologist or internist about it
