Gabor Maté Autoimmune Theory

I am wondering what are other people’s takes on Gabor Maté’s theory on MS. “Maté argues that chronic emotional stress, plays a significant role in the development of autoimmune diseases like MS. Maté believes the mind and body are inseparable, meaning chronic psychological stress directly affects...

Rainy day reveries

I wish I could turn back time, just to those simple days after school. Imagine the rain pouring down, the kind that makes the world feel cozy and safe. I’d come home, eat a warm lunch, and do my homework. Then, I’d curl up on the couch with a cup of Zuhurat (herbal infusion popular in Lebanon) and a...

Is it worth the fight?

It's funny how quickly my mind goes to "well it was fun while it lasted. Time to end things." In general I'm a very positive person and people compliment me a lot for being so positive, you always hear wiser (usually old )people say "it could be worse", and between that and MS, I've gotten through...

Vent/need advice

It takes so much mental energy out of me to convince myself to not call in sick because I know in the long wrong I will temporarily feel relieved being able to rest but later I’m going to be st...

A long sabbatical I guess?

I haven’t posted in the longest of while. If I began to share, I don’t think I could really remember everything to begin with. Then I would most definitely give myself insane stress and lead to an anxiety attack where I end up soaked in stress and just cut off from everyone. But believe it or not-...
