A new place to feel imposter syndrome...

Hi, my name is Adam, and I have basically joined the community to read up on other people's experiences. Its weird because I remember joining and autism group once and feeling like an imposter even though my mind and body was telling me I was autistic. Soon after I received my autism diagnosis. Now I'm joining an MS group after the same messages are being relayed by my body to me again about my health. Over the last 3 years I've been struggling with balance issues, vision problems, my left arm becoming numb and tingly, lots of muscular pain in my back, shoulder and neck, mobility issues etc. After 2 years I was diagnosed with PPPD (the umbrella term for unexplained dizziness) and sent on my way. My problems are always present but sometimes they are worse and I'm pretty much unable to do much at all. I haven't been completely satisfied with my diagnosis and I have a history of being misdiagnosed. When I was 25 I was told I just have anxiety..it took me until I was 39 to get the doctors to send me for an autism assesment. So I'm currently waiting for a neurologist to see me. It's been a year now so I've decided to go private for an initial consultation with one to at least explain my other symptoms. A lot of my symptoms do fit nicely under the umbrella of PPPD but not the numb areas of my body. So who knows! But in the meantime I will read what people are kindly sharing and hopefully learn something that may help me in my journey. Thanks for sharing all this great information.
