Just want to introduce myself and say hello. I was diagnosed in 2014 plus I have dysautonomia, chronic migraine, chronic fatigue syndrome, degenerate disc disease, sleep apnea and depression. . It's something everyday between the exhaustion and headaches/migraines and my back I rarely have a good day but I keep fighting it.i keep my little grand baby a few days a week my daughter helps me she lives with me and is disabled but she sure does help with her. I have a son which is my granddaughter daddy and a daughter in law. I'm recently divorced after 36 yrs he had a mid life crisis I think just completely different now and got remarried a few months after divorced but I’ve learned it’s his loss. Just wanted to say hello and I pray everyone has a good day.

Disabled students allowance (UK)

Hi everyone reading this! Has anyone got any experience / knowledge about MS and the award of DSA in the United Kingdom ? MS can be so different for people, so I’m guessing it’s on a case by case basis. Anyhow .. Thanks in advance !

Car sticker for disabled parking

I've been watching videos on YouTube about people being questioned by other disabled blue badge holders on whether they should be parking in disabled car spots because "they don't look disabled". I think it's disgusting. If anyone said that to me, they'd get their answer. I have to admit. When I par...

Disabled Persons Railcard - the saga continues on the BBC

I was interviewed for MoneyBox Live on BBC Radio 4 the other day because they (the Rail Delivery Group in charge of the cards) still haven't changed their site to make it clearer as they had promised. The interview ought to go out next Saturday but as with all things media, it may get bumped. I am...

Disabled Tale Time - The Struggle To Use The Bathroom At The Jobcentre

Hello fellow MSers, Hope you are well. Unfortunately, another disabled tale time. This is for Kentish Town Jobcentre (for unemployment benefit). I have been here three times and as a disabled person I have asked to use the bathroom. The response from the staff is shocking. Hey, I'm human, and y...

Disabled but not disabled enough- venting

Hi MSers, Hope you are well. In the UK MS is a disability by law. Such as certain cancers and HIV, if you didn't know we are protected by the Equality Act. I have relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and I am not in a wheel chair. However, I have difficulties walking but you won't really notic...
