Feeling Optimistic

Hi everyone, I am finally getting the answers to my questions by my medical team. I changed neurologists months ago, I was never getting any answers from her. My new neurologist has been awesome. He has sent me for physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy. He also took the time to a...

Feeling unusually optimistic!

I received a letter today from the Neurologist about my recent MRI and it seemed pretty good! There were NO new lesions and the old ones seemed to have gotten slightly smaller!! So I am pretty pleased with this and it made my usual very pessimistic self rethink! Who'dv thought?! ?

Newly diagnosed in Cardiff

Hi all 👋 I was diagnosed at the end of January this year, 2 weeks after my 35th birthday. Was wondering if there was anyone else in a similar position in/or near to Cardiff, Wales. I'm due to start treatment within the next few weeks and my specialist is optimistic 😊 One thing I have mentioned ...

Bladder issue treatment

Has anyone had success with treatment for overactive bladder/urgency/incontinence? I have tried pelvic floor PT and two different medications that have not helped much. The next step is trying sacral neuromodulation (Medtronic), which I’m optimistic about but wondering if anyone here has tried this?...

It's going to be okay, right?

I like to think I'm optimistic over all but sometimes late at night the reality hits in a big wave. I hit mid-life and I went south hard. I lost my job, home, family and self respect in the melais that turned out to be MS I was told 13 years ago when I had optic neuritis that I did not have MS by h...

Can I ever "thrive" in the workplace? 🙃

Sorry for the vent post but I really wanted to get something off my chest. For a long time I struggled to find a stable job and was stuck working irregular hours in fast food restaurants and cafés. My financial situation was quite bad. I was estranged from family and I was looking into food banks a...

I feel like I have spent the last few months waiting around for a diagnosis and now I actually get to start taking control of my MS. Anyo...
