They didn’t catch a virus. They caught MS. It started with a tingle. Then came the mysterious fatigue no one took seriously. By 28 days in, society hadn’t collapsed but a concerning number of people were falling over for no reason, losing feeling in random limbs, and quietly Googling “why does my e...

Hello

Hi everyone, I’m new here 👋 I was diagnosed in December 2024, my first symptom was numbness in my legs back in 2021-22, then optic neuritis in 2023 had landed me in the hospital and so began my MS journey. During that time I was just a few wks shy of moving from upstate NY to the UK for school - it...

Has anyone experienced any hearing issues?

I’ve noticed my hearing in one ear not be as good, my left ear, which is also the side of my body that went completely numb a few months ago from head to toe. I can’t keep up in conversations in groups, can’t hear on the phone properly and even struggle sometimes with just one person talking. I’ve b...

My MS

I like to say I just have MS. I don’t let it define me. I’m on a good treatment plan and I just manage symptoms and flares. I’m very fortunate and blessed that mine only causes numbness in my back and I get a lot of twitching and burning down my legs.

Scared of disease progression even with DMT (long read)

I’m relatively new to this whole MS thing having gotten recently diagnosed and I haven’t had enough time to process this given that I’ve been distracting myself with work so much. To my detriment at times. My diagnosis has been a bit weird and quite dramatic but I’ll just vent here and hopefully s...

Numb Skin

Has anyone else ever experienced your whole body feeling numb? I have had it in just specific locations before but never my entire body. I will feel that I have an itch but when I scratch it it’s like I’m scratching someone else’s skin. I have an appointment with my neurologist on Thursday, just cur...
