Vertigo & Numbness, anyone else?
I'd love to hear about anyone elses experience with these symptoms. I find it reassuring somehow? I hope others feel the same!
So here's what's been going on with me, it's a pretty unpleasant experience, fair warning!
I woke up after a couple of days of feeling light to medium vertigo and couldn't walk, or crawl. It felt like I was being spun in every direction, I couldn't tell up from down. I managed to get to the bathroom with my boyfriends help and ended up throwing up and peeing at the same time, it was not fun. By the end all I could do was cling to the floor for about two hours while the world spun and I threw up. It wasn't pretty! I was helped to the couch and I was stuck there for 8+ hours. Called 111. I nibbled on a snack about 6 hours after I stopped throwing up the first time but threw it up immediately and could barely keep water down. It sucked.
Over the next two weeks the vertigo reduced significantly but I'm still very off balance, and numbness similar to when you sit on your legs for too long has spread up from my toes to just below my sternum. It's been tingly and numb for a solid two-ish weeks now. It's really unpleasant and disorientating but not painful.
I've been to see neurology but all of this happened over the holidays, starting on the 12th. They've put in an urgent MRI for me, so I'm taking care of what I can. Just looking to share and see how everyone else's doing + share my experience.
I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with that. Yes I have had vertigo a few times due to my MS and it was really bad one time but it’s never lasted like yours has. The longest was like half a day and then I was a little bit dizzy for a while and then it went away by the next day . My main issue now is spasticity MS hug some numbness and tingling. You’re in my thoughts.
