The Invisible Illness

People often ask how I'm doing, and it's hard to explain that I look fine on the outside while my internal battery is sitting at 4%. Invisible illness is a masterclass in masking. How do you usually describe your energy levels to people who just don't get it? 🔋

Invisible illness

I really need to vent. Today is the 2nd time when my annual clinic appointment which was then changed to a 'phone appointment ' and for the 2nd time I didn't receive any call. I would just put it down to typical HSE admin nonsense but I've been hospitalised with sezieures twice in recent months so n...

If only my invisible illness was visible

I think one of the most difficult things about having MS (and many other chronic illnesses) is that it is an invisible illness. So many symptoms cannot be seen, a bit like the amount of an iceberg that is under the water, and are therefore not always taken seriously by those around us. There are...

🥀 Simplest wishes / 🥀 أبسط الأمنيات

Unseen suffering: when defending yourself becomes a burden and you barely have the energy to speak.

Invisible illness is learning to advocate for yourself when you barely have energy to speak. ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× المرض الخفي هو تعلم كيفية الدفاع عن نفسك عندما بالكاد تملك الطاقة للكلام.

F**ks Management 101 🌱

People ask me how I stay so calm. Truth is, I don't. I've just become incredibly selective with where I spend my f**ks. You can even check the field where I grow them. It's barren. The soil's given up. Even the scarecrow packed his bags and left. I don't give a single, solitary f**k. Not one. If ...

I was 9…

There are moments in life that don’t feel real… Not because they didn’t happen… But because they feel too full circle to be anything but divine. And today… I’m stepping into one of those moments. I’ve been talking with my dad’s MS doctor. Let me say that again slowly… My dad’s. MS. doctor. The s...

I was GONE for weeks (did a lot of exhausting overtime during the summer months) But now all my collegues are back from their holidays and I can get back to ART. And I'm back with a new YT video :) As some of you know, I'm an artist and was diagnosed last year and ever since I dedicate my time and c...
