Hi everyone! I have been recently diagnosed with RRMS. My nurse has advised that I start a DMT - either Avonex or Plegridy. Is anybody on these or does anybody have any advice on which one I should go for? Thank you in advance

DMT and aging

Good morning all. I was diagnosed a very long time ago... so long ago that there were no DMTs available. When they did come out my doctor felt that because I was stable I didn't need to take anything. Fast forward several years and I was given Rebif which I stayed on for many years. I switched doct...

I'm envious

Of people who don't experience many symptoms and still managed to get diagnosed, I presented with so many symptoms for 8+ years and only got diagnosed because I had to plead for my life after being told constantly it's all in my head and because I'm fat, and if I hadn't begged for that second opinio...

Cough / Ocrevus

I started Ocrevus 5 weeks ago, got a minor cold after which only lasted a few days. Cold went but a few days later started a non chesty but persistent cough that's beginning to burn. The NHS guidelines on coughs seem to be wait a few weeks, would you bother your GP with this as it's only been around...

DMT thought...?

This might sound like a stupid question, but its something that has only just come into mind... Do DMTs only help stop relapses of different symptoms, which you havent yet experienced? or do they also help stop the ones you have experienced from recurring?

Sick

I had to call out of work sick today, I have a fever, cough, cold symptoms. One of my coworkers texted to check up on me and I told her I'm ok, she said "just making sure it's not a bad flare up" which I know she meant well by. My response was no, just regular sick with a fever. I haven't started a...

Recently diagnosed

Hi, im new here. I was diagnosed beginning of March and I have my appointment with the MS nurse on 1st May. I’ve been given 4 DMT options to choose from. I think I’m going to go with Ocrevus, which I’ve read is an infusion and can be an injection. I’ve been sent the injection leaflet to read. It say...

Still in the first stage of grief

I seriously am doubting having Ms even though I have lessons and a diagnosis and will be on DMT soon. I genuinely am keep excusing my very obviously Ms symptoms. I upped my Zoloft dose and my limbs went numb in seconds during night and my whole body tingled for thirty minutes, 7 months later I quit ...

Has anyone else had this experience?

I went to special MS neurologists yesterday in Newcastle, living in the Lake District and MS is what I have been initially diagnosed with. Now the MS neuro has said my case isn’t just as black at white as my MRI scan shows some inflammation but I am not hitting both criteria at this point to have a ...

Ocrevus - your experiences

Hello! I was diagnosed in June 2018 and was on Tecfidera for 6 years before my Neuro advised I would require to come off the DMT as my lymphocytes were below 0.5 for longer than 6 months. I had to go ’cold turkey’ until my lymphocytes went back up to 0.8 which they just have, thankfully. They hav...
