Cough / Ocrevus
I started Ocrevus 5 weeks ago, got a minor cold after which only lasted a few days. Cold went but a few days later started a non chesty but persistent cough that's beginning to burn. The NHS guidelines on coughs seem to be wait a few weeks, would you bother your GP with this as it's only been around for a couple of weeks or does being on a DMT change these rules - I would have to get through their AI booking system in the first instance which might say no due to only being 2 weeks?
Depends on your cough really. Is it definitely more dry than chesty ? And are you bringing up any phlegm? Have you got a fever? Is the cough waking you up at night? Can you talk in a full sentence without breaking out in a cough? you could call your NHS GP and explain that you are now on an immuno suppressant and you have a persistent cough and perhaps adding other symptoms like tiredness or you’re worried about the infection being bacterial rather than viral. And see when they can offer you an appointment. hope this helps.
@Subra definitely more dry and sounds more like a barking sort of cough, no fever and doesn't wake me up but I am coughing during most sentences and laughing is definitely out at the moment 😂 I might give it the weekend to see if it improves before I try GP?
