In multiple sclerosis MRI scans are often used as a diagnostic tool to detect lesions on the brain. MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a process of using powerful magnets and radio waves to analyse the different types of tissue in the human body.Speak to other MSers to find out about their experiences of MRI scans or to ask any questions you might have.

Lesions shrinking on MRI

Hello, my latest MRI showed a lesion that had schrunk. Does anyone have experience with schrinking lesions? If so, did you do anything to make that happen? I like the idea of them shrinking away... 😉💪 (Sorry for my bad English and maybe my naivety)

Symptoms worse straight after MRI

Anyone else experienced that? Usually I don’t feel anything after an MRI, but this time my pre-existing symptoms feel worse. I assume it’ll be fine. But I feel a bit nuts, it was just an MRI!

MRI scans - how to read??

Hi, I requested a copy of my MRI but I can’t remember what the neurologist pointed out as lesions and there are a lot of white patches on my brain on the scan so not sure if it’s all lesions or if it’s something else? How do you read them? Was also sent the report for it which is total gibberish too...
