Annual MRI?

I recently had a check up appointment with my MS nurse. When I asked about my annual MRI they said they would not be doing one anymore unless I actually got new symptoms. Even though in the past the MRI has shown me to have new lesions without any symptoms, has anyone else been told this before? I was diagnosed in 2018 and have had a yearly MRI ever since then.

@wjgregg sorry, brain fog. I posted this and then forgot! I'm in West Yorkshire. I assume it is because I have had little disease activity over the years and MRIs aren't cheap but it does always put my mind at ease a little.
