Hi
I'm new here so just wanted to say hello to everyone.
Diagnosed January this year after having pins and needles in my legs early last year and my eyesight getting worse but that was thought to just be because of my overactive thyroid. From August last year my eyesight got very bad (now I know it was ON) and in September I woke up one morning not able to feel my body properly from my chest right down to my toes and so fell down my stairs at home.. and so I was then sent to have an MRI scan which showed I had MS for years.. I was unable to walk properly without falling over, legs felt so very heavy, my eyesight issues meant I was unable to work without assistance throughout the whole of October because I was barely able to see the text on my computer screen, pins and needles throughout my hands, unable to use my arms properly which meant cooking and cleaning was so difficult, fatigue, memory and thinking problems, depression, bowel and bladder issues so basically I had all of the common MS symptoms.
I am now feeling like a normal person:) Going to start to drive again tomorrow just hope that goes as well as I'm hoping.
Got to live forward to a much better year this year. Hoping Tysabri keeps any further relapses at bay.

Hi @LittleVampette and welcome to our piece of cyberspace. I'm glad you found us, although not glad that you had a reason to find us! :???: Anyway, you seem to have been through the mill to get here, but it's good to hear that you're feeling normal again. Hopefully, Tysabri will help you with that. Just a quick question as you intend to start driving again, have you advised the DVLA and your car insurance company of your diagnosis? It's just a bit of bureaucratic process, but legally, you have to do it.
Hello, I was diagnosed in January too. The Avonex seems to be keeping the MS at bay, hope yours does too
