How did people here tell them to back off without hurting their feelings. I know they mean well but its getting a bit annoying being treated as somebody that cant...

Just found out one of my aunts has MS on dad side. Does this raise the chances that I might have it ?

Who here is the only one in the family with MS?

Or have you inherited it from a family member?

Problems with family

Does anyone else have issues with family pushing them to far with their MS. I have a niece who is 3 and my mom expects me to help with her and entertain her. The problem is my niece is feral and no one disciplines her. She’s allowed to kick, hit, and jump on me. I am the one expected to take her out...

How do you deal with your family when they don't understand how bad you feel and expect you to be "ok" all the time?

Hi everyone, I’m new here so I’ll just tell you a bit about myself. I was struck down with secondary progressive ms in 2016 with no warning a numb big toe on Sunday and paralysis to my left side by the Thursday! Do any of you guys have a sibling or family member who has ms ? I’ve been told it isn’t hereditary, but my sister had it before me and very sadly she passed away in February 2021, to advanced ms and Covid pneumonitis 😢

I need someone else with multiple sclerosis’s thought on this. After I moved back into my mothers house after a abusive relationship and, after a family member past thinks I’m to “weak” to walk to the store even though I have walked further. Yet no madder how hard I try to show her I can do it and I need to be active she follows after what her new boyfriend says and thinks I need to stay home which is making my legs more weak.
