Family

So i have ms and just soldiering on with it but my family seems to walk on eggshells with me and treat me like I cant do anything myself. How did people here tell them to back off without hurting their feelings. I know they mean well but its getting a bit annoying being treated as somebody that cant do a thing for themselves. Should I just be upfront and tell them back off, I just dont want to come across as ungreatful for everything they do needed or not

I wouldn’t I would be grateful if I say something hurts they are all I know what you mean my back hurts too.. I’m like you don’t even know. They do not let me go places alone.. as annoying as that is I understand I’m a fall risk an agree.. from falling I’ve broken both feet twice, my sturnum and left rib cage.. so it’s warranted. But they still expect me to do everything I’ve always done.

Best way to do it is just be honest and straightforward. Id just show appreciation first and then explain how I can do it myself. Or you can tell them that if you need help with stuff, you’ll make sure you ask them but if not, you would like your independence
