Just found out one of my aunts has MS on dad side. Does this raise the chances that I might have it ?

From US MS society - MS is not an inherited disease, meaning it is not a disease that is passed down from generation to generation. However, in MS there is genetic risk that may be inherited. In the general population, the risk of developing MS is about 1 in 750 - 1000. That said there are a lot of people with MS that note relatives that have it. I do not know if it was ever diagnosed in others in my family. My mother had a condition similar to Parkinson's but I don't know if there is a diagnosed link between the two.
Me and my sister have it, and me and my daughter have had other autoimmune conditions, so clearly there’s a genetic predisposition to autoimmunity but not necessarily MS
