Amantadine

Hi all. Does anyone have any experiences of taking Amantadine for MS fatigue. I am currently taking modafinil x 2 100g first thing each day but still suffer from chronic fatigue in the afternoons. MS Nurse has recommended switching to Amantadine. I’m happy to switch but reluctant to give up moda...

Amantadine

Hi, just started Amantadine, how do others on it get on with it? So far just dry mouth and a tiny bit light headed but not noticing anything else. (To be fair it’s only day 3 😀)

Anyone else take Amantadine for fatigue? If so, what do you think of it? Been taking 100mg for about 3 weeks, but apart from in the first few days, I've not felt any difference. Docs will up the dose to 200mg in a week or so, so hope that'll help. Any thoughts?

Amantadine

Has anyone taken drugs to combat their fatigue? This drug was recommended by my MS nurse to help my fatigue, but when researching the drug it seems to have a lot of side effects that don't sound great :/ I'd prefer not to take another medication, does anyone have any methods that help their fatigue?...

Hi, I know Amantadine is meant for MS fatigue. I took it once when working and made me feel a bit edgy so didn’t continue with it. I have crazily booked a ticket to go to festival end of May (as feel i need something to look forward to for mental health) and was wondering about taking this to giv...

Amantadine is great for fatigue but has a rather embarrassing issue, flatulence. It’s not listed as a side effect unless it is for canines and the only dog I ever want to be like is a “mild mannered janitor”

Hi , I have been prescribed Amantadine for fatigue but once I read the long list of side effects became unsure and wondered if I should just do less and rest more , any fellow sufferers take this ? Does it help and have you had any adverse reactions? Thanks
