Critical illness

Been off the radar for a bit feeling absolutely rubbish, 3 weeks since lumbar puncture and the results are delayed. Feel like I’m having a relapse but impossible to talk to anybody, it’s not that bad though so I can wait a bit. Wondering if anybody has had a payout from critical illness? My insuranc...

28 Days Later, 28 Years Later: The MS Edition

They didn’t catch a virus. They caught MS. It started with a tingle. Then came the mysterious fatigue no one took seriously. By 28 days in, society hadn’t collapsed but a concerning number of people were falling over for no reason, losing feeling in random limbs, and quietly Googling “why does my e...

When do you mark the anniversary?

For those of you that mark the anniversary of your MS, do you count your official diagnosis date or go from your first symptoms? I had my first relapse last year in July, I was initially told it could be MS then, but later told by a neurologist it was unlikely until I had a few more relapses and ...

DMT's

Has anyone improved from taking DMTS ? I tried 4 or 5 over the years and all of them have made me worse. They now want to put me on an infusion every 6 months, but it kills my white blood cells!! Surely only going to make me relapse more

I've been a nurse for about 10yrs, worked mostly nights. Since being diagnosed last December I have not worked. I took my first dose of Mavenclad awaiting the 2nd round in the next couple weeks. I want to return to work but I dont know if I trust my body and afraid I may send myself in a relapse. I want to transition to something less toxic on my mental/physical health. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Scared of disease progression even with DMT (long read)

I’m relatively new to this whole MS thing having gotten recently diagnosed and I haven’t had enough time to process this given that I’ve been distracting myself with work so much. To my detriment at times. My diagnosis has been a bit weird and quite dramatic but I’ll just vent here and hopefully s...
