Has anyone else had an MRI “re reported”? I had a scan in October, FINALLY got the results December and great news no change, results were static. Saw consultant in December, pleased with the result. Confirmed another scan for the following year and also annual check up as normal. Fast forward...

My hardest loss

I think we can all agree that one of the worst things about this disease is all loss that one has to deal with because of it. I am very disabled now. I cannot walk, I cannot work, I have trouble speaking at times, swallowing is now becoming a chore. I have a Supra pubic catheter. I am beginning to ...

Is it worth it? What’s the point? 🤔

As with many of us, I was quite fit back in the day. For many years, I sold phones. 📱 I knew how to talk; when I spoke, I could charm the birds out of the trees. My best friend completed an Ironman last year. He then died of a brain tumor two months later—just seven weeks after qualifying as a cha...

Telling people not great news

So I had an appointment with my neurologist today and I have a new lesions my medulla oblongata. OK so that is shit. But then I had to go home and tell my partner which has upset him. And I will have to tell my mum and my sisters. I don't like people being worried about me, I'm pretty much ok as fa...

Community in Scotland? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hi all, I recently moved from Hampshire up to central Scotland and have found myself completely without a community for MS. Hampshire has a thriving community for patients and carers but up here there's nothing it seems. Does anyone fancy a pint and a whine about the state of neurological care up he...

The Short Story

During the years before MS became a BIG part of my life my family had the opportunity to travel, ski, join clubs and make enough to have fun. In 2011, while visiting family I started to have double vision. I was worried so the next day I saw an Ophthalmologist who said my eyes were fine. The follow...

Feeling Grateful!

It's my beautiful daughter's birthday today and it set me to remembering the day she was born by planned C-Section (because she was predicted to be 11lbs!) It was a fabulous day and we were so happy to have our last baby as I was 37 and had undergone a very traumatic emergency section 6 years befo...
