MS fitness I think I've turned a corner

Physical activity has been the last thing on my mind for some time now. I mean doing more than Pilates or Yoga seemed unachievable. I used to be reasonably fit playing 5aside football every week and enjoying doing contact sports like rugby. Since being diagnosed the first 2 years where difficult but I still played football until I got to the stage where I couldn’t feel the ball. During the last 3 or so years I’ve occasionally done Pilates and Yoga but not as much as I should. I’m keen to be active and during this year I’ve noticed my motor skills, muscle strength and endurance decrease. The thought of jumping in a pool to do Aqua-fit in my mind seemed for females only and not a manly thing to do. I’ve put off doing this class for a year now even though my wife thinks it would be ideal for me as my balance is awful. So I did Aqua fit today, I was the only male in the class so I felt a bit self-conscious to start with, not that anyone in the class blinked an eye as I joined in on the session. It was great I really felt like I did a work out and now I can’t wait till the next class. I feel great. Knackered but great, I’ll sleep tonight

I've started aqua-aerobics too and I feel incredible afterwards!!! Feels great to be active again!!

@reddivine

Water based swimming or aqua fit is ideal for us wobblies, as the balance problem is sorted. And it uses ALL muscles. Never mind the only male in the village, idea.........you'll be soooo popular with all them ladies!
