So yesterday I had my 4th neurologist appointment (first 2 were with local neurologist who didn't really know anything about MS and the 3rd neurologist I didn't really like his approach so asked to be referred). I have to say I came out of the room feeling very positive. The neurologist definitely knew her stuff! Unfortunately she was unable to see my scan pictures as they would not open on her computer but she said she would be happy to put me forward for Lemtrada. The only problem was because I had originally seen her colleague who advised a beta interferon she may have a problem over riding him......so she said start Tecfidera and if I have any symptoms at all or it doesn't agree with me I can go straight to Lemtrada. She had the opinion to hit it hard and fast. I even mentioned Cladribine and she said if I wanted to take part in the trial she may be able to speak to St Barts but she would prefer me to start Lemtrada out of the 2. I guess I'm going to have to start my reading on Lemtrada ? Xxx
