Change of DMD - advice please?

Good afternoon all! I am new here so please go easy on me! :-) I was diagnosed with RRMS back in August 2007 and have been on numerous DMDs over the years with the latest one being Brabio (glatiramer acetate). After a recent appointment with my MS consultant he has suggested / advise for me to move away from Brabio to something a little stronger to manage my MS a bit better and has suggested either Tecfidera (dimethyl fumarate) or Kesimpta (ofatumumab). I have done a little bit of investigations to these but, with all medications, there are pro's and cons to them all so I was just wondering if there was anyone out there in a similar situation to me or if there is anyone on either of the 2 suggested DMDs? If so, how do you find them? What side effects do you get? How "convenient" do you find administering these around your everyday life? Any advice anyone can give me on this would be appreciated so I hope to hear from someone soon to help me decide. Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken, I’m on kesimpta as my first dmt. One of the most effective and no side effects for me after the initial few loading doses (but these were very manageable flu like aches, headache and tired for a few hours). Self injections are fine and very convenient as only once a month and the injector pen is really well designed so makes it really easy and relatively painless. Future injections will be delivered to my home too. Of course it’s a B cell depleting immunosuppressant so there is some caution around that but I’m trying to get on with life as best I can with two small children and it’s easy to forget I’m on the medication as so far I haven’t had any additional infections 🤞🏼 Different for everyone and I don’t know anything about the other dmt you’re looking at, but all the best with your choice.

Hi @ks2108, I've been on Tec successfully for 5 years - put it in the search box to see previous posts. It's great for fitting in with daily life
