Moving from Australia to Scotland

Hey everyone, Me and my partner are moving to Edinburgh later this year and I’m confident with most of this decision, my only hesitation is around my MS. I have lots of questions, but a few main ones are below. If anyone wants to chat that would be so lovely. Hope you’re all doing well xx - I currently take Kesimpta. I get it delivered in 3 month batches and costs me about $90aud / £50 each order. It’s done through a company called Inservio. I’m wondering if this exists in the UK or if something similar does? - How do you go about getting connected with a neurologist? Are there lots of options? - being Australian I’ll have access to the NHS so I’m wondering if you’re in the public system, how much you spend if anything? - what are the normal routines for check ups? I get an MRI each year and see my neurologist twice a year given everything is stable.

on the NHS your Kesimpta would be free. On arrival get a GP (doctor) and they will refer to a Neuro who you should see 1 per year and an MS nurse 1 per year. MRI 1 a year. Bring a big coat as it’s freezing

Babe, I think you're brilliant to want to go to Scotland. As you are covered by NHS, you do need to phone up a doctor in order to have an appointment with a neurologist and then further treatment will happen for you 😊
