Wahls protocol diet

Hello! Has anybody tried the Wahls protocol diet? Any success stories, or otherwise?! I have done a lot of research and reading and it all sounds very positive, I tried it for a month and I must admit I felt amazing. Although I don’t really have severe symptoms to notice a massive change, but the few I do have did seem to be less noticeable. So for me it would mainly be used as preventative rather than to leasen symptoms (if that makes any sense!) the main stumbling block with it seems to be an income of around £76million per month is needed to buy ingredients , and how dare you insinuate I exaggerate 😐there is also a distinct lack of cheese, or anything that resembles cheese and doesn’t taste like a dogs ass, and finding new recipes that don’t take a phd to cook . So, that being said, I am keen to give it another go because if I don’t I’ll always be thinking what if. If anybody would like to either begin to try it with me, or already follows the plan and wants a rather annoying friend to ask constant questions give me a shout! X

Hello, I don’t know much about Wahls program. I do know the reason for lack of cheese is because most people with MS can’t tolerate Dairy, it causes inflammation on the lesions. I believe it’s like 85 percent of MS’ers which is a high ratio. I unfortunately fall in that category I have been cow dairy free for about a little over a year. I did find out that goat and sheep cheese causes no inflammation. do I do goat parmigiana, cheddar and cottage cheese. I too think that the plant based cheese is awful. I do plant based cream cheese from time to time. I do almond milk and plant based yogurt plain. My inflammation on lesions a very minimal and my neurologist is very pleased compared to my MRI a year ago and 6 months ago. My neurologist is a specialist on MS it was his recommendation for me to try. He did state many of his patients have success with the goat and sheep dairy and 2% that don’t. That’s a pretty small number. I hope this information helps you like it did for me. 🙂

I have not tried the good Dr's advice, but I do have a coworker, also MS, that has been following for several months and she raves about how she's feeling. You think I would follow?!? I don't think she has a PHD or is keen to the taste of a dog's ass, could be wrong, but don't think so! My trepidation is almost like yours, I'm way too finicky! I may be game to give a whirl????
