Struggle

So my story so far. I was a firefighter and developed drop foot 😒 this then took me off the run. Not being a fully fit operational firefighter is depressing. I was diagnosed with Clinically Isolated Syndrome. So after a year of intense physio I was medically retired😪. I was told by the consultant that CIS is a precursor to MS. Never did I think my life would fall apart the way it did. Then in January 2023 I was diagnosed with RRMS. The hardest part is I still compare myself to the firefighter before all of this. Being told I shouldn’t do that instead it’s best to only compare with yesterday which is hard, suppose I’ll get there. But being the stubborn person I am this will not be easy

Hello, I can empathise with every word except mine is PPMS. I think I'm positive half the time, the other half I think I'm mad and just can't take things in at all. Hope you're ok and the MS Nurses and MS Society can get you something that very much helps. All the best.
