Hi, New to this

I was diagnosed 16 years ago and I thought my world was over. I went blind in my right eye, my whole right side of my body went limp. I thought stroke, heart attack. Then it subsided but I ended up in a wheelchair. I had a 6 month old infant. I found my wonderful Neurologist that got me finally after a bunch of different meds, on one that now has me back on my feet. I’m down from 340lbs to 160lbs and I walk 5 miles a day. I’m 47 years old and people say I look 28. I believe if you don’t use it you lose it!!!

Wow! Going blind is my biggest fear. It sounds like you are doing amazing! Did it take time to build up to a 5 mile walk?

@Nicoya

Yes, I started by walking online with Leslie Samsone she has wonderful videos on YouTube. After I was able to do her 5 mile or 10,000 step video I ventured out and started doing it outdoors. Now when I don’t walk I get horrible spasms in my legs. My neurologist has told me then don’t stop walking! Plus baclofen is my best friend.
