Diet and MS

Hi, I'm new to the group and feel like I have only just found out the truth about what is wrong with me. I was given a diagnosis of rrms over 2 years ago based on my previous history. I was 7 weeks pregnant at the time and a week later we went into the first lock down, I chose to ignore it. I had to wait 2 years for an MRI scan and found out it is currently active. The MS nurse told me that I was in denial and I needed to accept my fate. I am currently waiting to receive Tecfidera, which they messed up and 12 weeks on I am still waiting ☹️. I have since been researching MS and looking if there is something I can do to help myself. So I recently started the oms programme, but the diet is proving incredibly difficult. Listening to a podcast by Dr Gavin Giovannoni he said that no diet has been shown to help MS, however the 5 2 intermittent fasting may help. I feel so confused now as what to do. Has anyone else found all this information difficult to navigate? How did you decide what was best for you?

Yes. I have only been diagnosed four months and I am constantly researching and learning. I am becoming an MS bore! It’s all I ever talk about 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I try to just take one day at a time. As for diets I think life is too short for any of these complicated diets. But my neurologist told me to lose weight (I’m morbidly obese) and I think there is evidence that a healthy balanced diet will help with symptoms. Good luck

Hi I have been doing the Best Bet diet for about 10 years, I brought the book by Judy Graham ms naturally it's got a lot of great information on diets for me if I come off the diet my symptoms are so much worse, it is confusing but I think you need to find what works for you
