New but hopeful 🥰

Hi everyone I’m new to here, I have been diagnosed this March, haven’t started treatment yet I have an appointment with my neurologist on the 25th april it’s been a long journey to get finally diagnosed!! I’m hoping once I start treatment I will feel a lot better than I am. The tiredness is testing , and the muscle aches are awful, as I’m a hairstylist so standing most of the time , & my balance is terrible, please tell me that starting treatment will help, I have been prescribed gavapentin to help which it has but today I have felt awful 😞 it’s just the unknown, I’m a positive person so what will be will be, I just want to get on treatment so I can adapt my life around it and hopefully feel better soon. 🥰

I’m new to this site too. Not new to MS. Was diagnosed in 2013 and had symptoms for many years before that. It’s not been an easy road but keeping a positive mindset is key. I’ve been hospitalized more times than I can count. Loved in a nursing home for a few weeks. In rehabilitation for weeks to relearn basic living and fine motor skills. Tried a variety of medications that had different side effects on me. Today I am blessed to have found a good balance between medication, diet, exercise, sleep, and have learned to understand my body’s needs. I am grateful to be doing well although there are still some tough days. I’m here if you need a friend or some advice or just need to vent. Best wishes
