Lifestyle changes

Hi 👋 I got diagnosed with MS over two years ago and initially tried to carry on as normal.. e.g. working five days a week, drinking alcohol, staying up late, eating whatever was convenient. Over the past year I made some changes, I cut out alcohol completely, reduced my hours, eat as healthy as possible and rest as much as I can … this does mean saying no to some social events (but good friends understand and those who don’t aren’t real friends) I’m not saying that extreme lifestyle changes are necessary but I definitely feel a huge difference when it comes to my symptoms and when they do flare up I feel like I can manage them better! Eat well, rest, limit the toxins 🤍🤍

I agree. I quit drinking, increased my protein intake, and continue to try my best to eat well. My students keep me on my toes and up and moving. Lol. Definitely makes a difference. I rest as often as I can, but the absolute crash I experience by the weekend is not sustainable. It’ll have to be my last year in the classroom. Health needs to come first.
