Hope-Thirty Years and Going Strong
As many people know I was diagnosed at 23 with my whole life in front of me. I thought it was a death sentence.
Since then have had 1 child now 23 and a stepdaughter. I have been married 2 times but I have been with my husband now for 20 years. He is awesome!
I was on Avonex for 20 years but it stopped working so I gave up. I went downhill fast at that point 5 years ago. But my husband wouldn't let me give up.
Now I am on Copaxone, I do physical therapy 2 times per week and am on an autoimmune protocol diet. Most of the time I need walking assistance but I am still walking.
So to all the newly diagnosed, keep trying and don't let a few steps back stop you from going forward. It has not always been easy but that can be true of anyone.
M.S. is not a death sentence. You can live a normal life and be happy. Keep trying. Keep positive people around you. Take a DMD , keep moving and keep living.
Best of luck to every one of you! ?

Thanks for sharing - I needed to hear something positive today :)
