Covid - been offered infusions - any advice?

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone has had the sotrovimab (xevudy) infusion? I have relapsing remitting MS and am on Tecfidera. I tested positive for covid 3 days ago, symptoms are of a bad cold but nothing too awful. I have been offered sotrovimab but I really felt pushed into it by the Doctor who called me up offering it to me. She said that they were not worried about me having Omicron but it was being given to help prevent a relapse, however everything I have read suggests it is to avoid ending up in hospital from covid. Does anyone have any experience of this at all? If I thought it would help prevent a potential relapse then I would feel a bit happier over it all. Thank you

This is interesting. I have no idea either, but would also like to know others experiences of this. Stay well x

Hey I tested positive last week too and was offered the same infusion. I declined as similar to you I felt it wasn’t necessary as wasn’t feeling acutely unwell. They also said they could not rule out that it may exacerbate any current MS symptoms as it was a foreign body so again chose against it. I don’t know anyone that has had it either I’m afraid. That was my experience with it anyway. E x
