MS & PCOS, weight loss & fertility
I’ve been recently diagnosed with RRMS. I am overweight and really would like to lose some before having ACL surgery (no date yet) but I’m really struggling.
I also have PCOS - I wondered if anyone has any experience of living with the two conditions?
I feel as though my hormones are all over the place and I can’t regulate them, which is causing so much stress on me and my body and therefore heightening all of my symptoms.
I’m struggling with exercise as, if my body temperature goes up, my vision goes, my hands go numb and my knee is also very unstable. I’m unsure of the right foods/supplements to be consuming to appease both conditions!
Following my appointment with the MS nurse I now have the sheet of all available DMDs, it’s all very overwhelming. I am also someone who had always dreamed of having a family, so I’m very stressed with regards to family planning & the medication as well as my PCOS and not knowing how long it might take for me to conceive or if I can for that matter. In an ideal world, my partner and I would wait a few years to think about having a baby, but I’m feeling like we need to think about it now?
It’s all very stressful, If anyone has any guidance I’d be extremely greatful!
