Hi everyone

I don’t usually join in groups like this, probably because I’ve tried to ignore / laugh about my MS for the last 20 years! I am a trained nurse and was diagnosed in 2003, after a full 12 months of being very unwell. I am now off sick with a view to taking my retirement and I’m wondering, what will I do with my time? I have worked full time for most of my years, but I am now struggling to accept the reality of my condition. Everyday I wonder, is it just ‘old age?’, menopause? Arthritis? Or MS related? Work has kept me going for so long and I have been lucky to have a really supportive boss, but now, I have finally given in to the pain, the tiredness and the constant brain fog…..to mention a few! I am still on my feet, ( just about) and walk with a crutch but have to take. Lot of sit downs, my hubby loves to go on long walks and I don’t go because it would slow him down, look for toilets etc. and he enjoys being out all day, I am feeling a little ‘lost’ but It’s my own fault if I don’t go places because of all my issues.

I find too the fatigue and pain have taken over. I just don't go on walks

@Wilma, I also love walking. Try going bare foot, I know it sounds mad but just try
