Diet advice

So although my MRI and CT scan have told the doctor it’s MS I’m just waiting on seeing the neurologist in November but although my mom had MS and I lived it from as soon as I could remember I know things change.. It’s so confusing with diet , she was regardless a vegetarian from a teen anyway and was the healthiest person I know (pneumonia and MS complications was her cause of death 21 years ago today 😞😞- still in the angry phase ) I’m confused about what I need to cut out and include one article I read says cut out dairy , one says red meat What does everyone recommend that seems to work for them ? Not fallen totally but got the MS hug most nights , fatigue and tripping over my own feet , I have 4 maternal kids and 1 step so with 5 kids in total under my roof ❤️ one a toddler and one a baby I just need to be on as best form I can be. My husband is amazing and cooks everything Hope everyone is as well as can be x

I honestly believe that your children are going to learn so much by watching how you deal with this condition. And maybe they won’t really understand fully until they are adults with adult responsibilities. But they are going to learn a lot about how to cope with negative news. But, you don’t have to be perfect. It has taken me a while to learn that coping well doesn’t mean “hiding it well”. So don’t feel embarrassed or guilty if you can’t do certain activities at times. I am very sorry that your mom had to experience it-especially just at the time when meds were coming into greater use. Back to your original question: FOOD. For me, I have not found that any particular food groups make it worse or better. But I know that’s not true for everyone. You might ask your doctor about “bacterial gut health” …they say that there is some believe that MS inflammation is tied into the types of good/bad bacteria in your digestive system. So you may want to look into pro-biotic supplements. Worth asking your doctor.
