First month with RRMS

In December I was diagnosed with RRMS after multiple scans and blood tests. Over a year ago I had a tingly feeling in both hands and I felt like I was walking around in heavy wet jeans. The wet jeans feeling went away after maybe a month but the feeling in my hands have stayed. After diagnosis I felt my left arm getting heavy and would happily have a nap at any time. I'm still waiting for treatment (Kesimpta) to start but have to get my pneumococcal vaccination first. I'm type 1 diabetic so fine with needles. Mentally I feel ok (so far) but I'm conscious that my family are taking the news differently.

I am also on Kesimpta. I don’t have side effects from this medication like I did from Ocrevus. I’ve never heard anyone describe this as “wet jeans”. I like that analogy!

I’m relatively new to Kesimpta; just had my fifth dose. (My dad was a Type 1 diabetic so I grew up around needles.) After the first dose, I didn’t feel very well (should have taken the day off work) but the following doses didn’t affect me very much. I make sure to take it later in the day (like early evening to sleep through some symptoms.) I’ve read that others have had similar experiences. I hope your starting doses go well!
