Leg/calf cramps during even light exercise?
Hi all 👋 1st time poster and huge fan of this incredible support resource.
I had my CIS in June 2023 and after a few months of being poked, prodded and scanned I've just been diagnosed with RRMS. Luckily/unluckily quite a quick diagnosis.
My question here I guess relates to calf pain. Since just before my CIS I started getting very tense pulling (cramp-like) pain in the sides of my legs during certain leg based exercise. It doesn't matter if more intense exercise like ice-skating or lighter exercise like a good-paced walk, the pain usually always crops up at some point. Swimming seems OK so far 🥳
Before diagnosis I just assumed ill-fitting shoes/skates but after vast changes with warm-ups, lacing, insoles etc the pain is still occurring.
I wondered if this is what MS spasms can feel like?
My Neuro said "it could be" (the damn randomness of this), so I wondered if there's anyone out there in the same boat?
Thanks for reading!
@PurpleCookie Hi Have a read of the link below. https://mstrust.org.uk/a-z/spasticity-and-spasms
@Lowlander thank you. I had seen this article but was hoping to hear if anyone had a specifically similar experience of trigger during only certain exercise.
