How long to stabilise?

Hi guys! I was diagnosed with ms this late march, began meds late may, and since my recent mri late sept it shows an old but new lesions caused likely before June/ or even before commending meds itself. I’m interested to know how long it took others to stabilise, either with meds, and by other means/ other lifestyle factors stresses/ emotional disturbances/exercise /food etc (or whatever one needed to stabilise). I’ve had significant emotional stresses that I couldn’t predict or avoid since diagnosis, a breakup and the diagnosis itself was a huge shock. If others wouldn’t mind sharing how long it took to stabilise/ with whatever means they chose, I’d be greatly appreciative 💘

Stabilization might be the wrong word. The meds help to slow the progression but how fast that is differs from person to person. Your case may respond by having fewer attacks or longer periods of time between attacks. I have been on two medications since diagnosis with no attacks but my MS has progressed.

Oh, ok, I’ve seen some people posting about using dmts and then experiencing no new lesions.. I assumed that to be stabilising, though I do understand that in time these lesions can cause issues in time.
