Have you found your balance?

When I was first diagnosed I went, arguably, a little crazy. But I am convinced that is what a lot of people do when handed a diagnosis that scares the crap out of them. It took me months and months to see that I was spending WAY too much money and enrolled in WAY too many activities. I was tired all of the time- and not because I have MS but because I feared giving myself one second to rest in case I could never get back up again. I was motivated by fear and I was terrified. I started running. I started yoga. I started horseback riding. I started crossfit. I started knitting. I started seeing a naturopath. I started seeing a chiropractor. I started seeing a physical therapist. I started seeing a cognitive behavioural therapist. I started to go crazy. I started all of these things at once, on top of working full time, and cried when I was sore and tired because I would think, "this is it... I can't keep up... my body is failing me." It took me a year almost to learn balance. I stopped panicking and started listening to my body (and my bank account). Yes I still run, and do yoga, and do crossfit. I still see my chiropractor when I need to. But I have learned the art of moderation and rest. Has anyone else found their balance with this disease? Hope everyone is feeling great!

I am still in the process of finding a balance. I am trying to find a new job that will be easier on me both physically and mentally. I hope the job I find will help me balance my life.

@Cazzzzzy

I'm trying to stay as busy as is possible for me right now :) ... I feel I need to so I guess that's my balance found as it makes me feel better! ... Ha as for bank balance that's another story but in the grand scheme of my life now I am determined not to let money bring me stress... xxx
